Cambro and Turbochef Demo Day at Western Restaurant Supply 0

We got to play with some new equipment today

We were able to have Byron and his team member show up with their demo truck today to talk about some of the new and exciting products available with Cambro, Turbochef, and FWE.  Here is a short overview of some of the cool stuff we saw, that got us excited, and well it should get you excited too.

We were able to have Byron and his team member show up with their demo truck today to talk about some of the new and exciting products available with Cambro, Turbochef, and FWE.  Here is a short overview of some of the cool stuff we saw, that got us excited, and well it should get you excited too.

Here is a video demo of what we did today.  Byron Roth from Marketeam NW did the demo.

Turbochef is the King in

Speed Cooking.

Byron went to Papa Murphy's and grabbed 4 take and back pizzas with different toppings, and cooked every 16" pizza in 3:30.  You read that right.  3 minutes and 30 seconds.  What takes your home convection oven 18 minutes to do, it only takes a turbo chef double batch oven 3.5 minutes, and it was cooked perfectly.

If you are looking for a top of the line commercial food hot holding cabinet or cook and hold, there is no one that makes it better than FWE.  Once of the biggest things about FWE is customization.  Today we learned that FWE has over 1300 options for their cabinets, from safety features like locking doors and extra bumpers for schools and prisons, to pan and rail guide placement.  They also fully weld their cabinet bases, and insulate the bottom, sides and top of all their units.   Another bonus to purchasing FWE is you are supporting American jobs because they manufacture all of their products in the USA.

See the pictures below for the detail stickers that are heavily laminated and covered, and the results after you scan the QR code.  It takes you to a detail page of that specific unit before it left the factory, after it passed it's testing.  Along with that, the web page includes parts and operation manuals, and online warranty registration.

It may be expensive, but it's worth it according to Cambro, and their reps.  They have scores of customers that swear by this shelving, and the reason is unparalleled durability, lifetime warranty, and easy adjustments making it great for every application in a commercial kitchen.  The Cambro Elements Camshelving is very easy to install and modify in the field, and holds up to 800 lbs per shelf when on legs, 500 lbs when on casters.  There are also many different accessories such as vertical drying racks and pot/pan racks that can be integrated into the shelving system.

Gourmet Grub Bus Build - Kennewick, WA

Gourmet Grub Bus Build - Kennewick, WA 0

Andrew and Zac of Gourmet Grill Bus Tri-Cities WAWe got to send off the Gourmet Grub Bus in style last week after we completed our final checklist and did a walk through with it's owners Andrew and Zac.  This 5 star food truck is head over to get wrapped before it hits the streets of Kennewick, Richland, Pasco and the rest of the state sharing food blessings to all who eat there.

We had to make various modifications to the previous builders design including electrical, plumbing, and gas systems to make it ready for Washington State.

Andrew and Zac purchased the shell truck and basic interior finishing from a Portland builder but brought it to us to bring it up to Washington State L&I code and outfit it with cooking and refrigeration equipment.   Both owners worked for Tap & Barrel in Richland, WA but now are looking to dominate the food truck scene in the Tri-Cities.  They already have a full schedule lined up and they haven't even started operating!  We are excited for them to grow and add more trucks to their fleet soon.   Check out some of our pics below of the interior and truck.

If you are interested in having a food truck built and plan to operate in the Tri-Cities area of Washington State give us a call.  We would love to help build your dream!

The Gourmet Grub Bus Is Almost Finished!

The Gourmet Grub Bus Is Almost Finished! 0

The gourmet grill bus, owned and operated by Zac and Andrew out of the Tri-Cities is going to be a 5 star food truck based in Kennewick, WA.  Offering next level food options, catering and events, their truck will be one of many high caliber trucks that come out of Western Restaurant Supply.   We are excited to finish up the project and get these guys out on the road serving up amazing food in Eastern Washington!

We are completely overhauling the truck including lowering the hood to UL listed Height, adding a new roof curb for the exhaust fan, fire suppression, a new fresh water tank, new refrigeration, cooking equipment, and storage.

When trucks leave Western Restaurant Supply, they are ready to operate in Washington State and are approved by Washington State Department of Labor and Industries.
