Press Release:  General Manager Joel Kruse Leaving Western Restaurant Supply

Last Friday Joel Kruse, the now former General Manager for 10 years of Western Restaurant Supply put in his 2 weeks with the company, and has accepted a new role with California based company Myers Foodservice Design + Build as their newest contract sales team member in their design build division.  

"It was a very difficult decision to leave, one that I prayed about and gave a lot of thought on.  After discussing it with my wife, I decided it was the best thing for me to do for my family and my career.  I wish nothing but the best for Western Restaurant Supply and the team I've built up over the past decade.  They will continue to thrive and dominate the SE Washington region for Foodservice in the years to come."  Said Joel Kruse, former General Manager.  

Joel joined Western Equipment Sales LLC (Now Western Restaurant Supply) in March of 2013, and has worked with his father-in-law and owner Wes Meares to spearhead it's growth from 3 employees to now 18 employees and a brand new location at the heart of the tri-cities.   He has worked on notable projects such as The Bradley (Richland, WA), The Crazy Crab Place (Kennewick, WA), Tips Thai House (Kennewick, WA), Fresh Leaf (Richland, WA), and the new restaurant Fable Wine Saloon and Food Joint on Columbia Park Trail (Richland, WA).    He has been a anchor for the restaurants in the Tri-Cities Area of Washington State and will be missed.   

Joel has been replaced by Norma Rodriguez as General Manager as of 4/12/2023.  Joel's last day at Western Restaurant Supply will be on Friday, April 21st 2023.   Make sure to stop by and wish him well in the next week!   His new role allows him to work from home and travel, so we will still see him around the tri-cities, enjoying the amazing local food our community has to offer.  We wish him nothing but the best in his new job and hope he enjoys the new position.
